Membership Requirements
- Membership is open to Pygmy Goat breeders who are:
– actively breeding to improve and develop the Pygmy Goat breed;
– residents of Australia;
– registered studs in good standing with one or more Associations that register Pygmy Goats in Australia. - If your Association membership lapses or is suspended, your membership to the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website will cease.
- When joining the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website, Association membership numbers and registered breeder prefix for each association you are listing is required. This is purely to verify Association membership and is not published on breeder profiles.
- Submitting a membership profile on the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website give us permission to verify your membership status with your listed Association (s) at any time.
Site Conduct and Listings
- The Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory reserves the right to delete, cancel, alter or refuse any listing or membership at any time without giving a reason. You acknowledge that you will have no legal recourse for removal from this directory.
- All advertising claims on the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website must be factual.
- Advertising and promotion is for your own Stud use only. You may include Pygmy Goats that you have bred and/or currently own or lease in your profile.
- Advertising Pygmy Goats on behalf of other people is not permitted.
- You must be the registered owner to list any Pygmy Goat for sale and must be the registered owner of the doe to list any kids for sale.
- You must own the copyright to all photos uploaded to the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website (or have written permission from the photographer).
Selling Pygmy Goats
- A Stud prefix registered with a recognized Pygmy Goat Association is required to be list as a breeder or to advertise Pygmy Goats for sale.
- Only registered Pygmy Goats and kids under 6 months born from Registered parents may be listed or advertised.
- Members are expected to be breeding towards the Breed Standard and for the purpose of improving breed type and characteristics in each successive generation rather than only breeding for the pet market.
- Members must ensure that all goats re-homed are in optimal health with all applicable paperwork and NLIS tagging completed as per your state’s legal requirements.
Ethical Conduct
- Members are expected to adhere to The Code of Ethics prescribed by the Goat Associations they are a member of and all applicable livestock laws for their state must be adhered to in order to retain their membership and listing on the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website.
- Our goal is to ensure a positive experience for all users of this website. Any violation of these terms may lead to membership suspension or termination without notice.
Limitation of Liability
- By using the Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website, you acknowledge and agree that the website and its owners are not responsible or liable for any claims, damages, losses or expenses arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to any issues related to the sale, purchase or health of pygmy goats listed on the platform. The Pygmy Goat Breeders Directory website serves only as a directory and platform for advertising and the responsibility for all transactions, agreements, and interactions lies solely between breeders and buyers. We do not guarantee the accuracy or validity of listings, breeder credentials, or the health of any animals advertised, all responsibility is between buyer and seller. Use of this site is at your own risk, and the site and its owners are released from any legal obligations or liabilities connected to your use of the platform.
